Travelling
with your wig
Taking your wig away with you doesn't need to be complicated. Synthetic wigs are surprisingly easy to travel with, and a little preparation before you leave means you can simply unpack it and get on with your trip.
Give it a little preparation
Make sure your wig is clean, dry and gently detangled before packing it away. That way, it's ready to wear when you arrive.
Pack it flat
I pack my wigs flat in their storage bags and put them straight into my suitcase. Synthetic fibres are much more forgiving than you might expect, so there's no need to worry about a little compression during travel.
Keep it protected
A storage bag helps keep your wig clean and prevents it getting tangled up with everything else in your case. If you're taking more than one wig, keeping each one in its own bag makes things even easier.
Give it a little refresh when you arrive
Once you're there, take your wig out of its bag and give it a gentle shake. Use your fingers to reshape the style and, if needed, give it a light comb through once the fibres have settled.
Don't overthink it. Your synthetic wig is more robust than you might think — pack it sensibly, give it a little attention when you arrive, and enjoy your trip.
